Jesus promised that the truth sets us free (John 8:32) and instructed His followers to teach all nations (Matthew 28:19).

Following this mandate, early Jesus-followers taught boys and girls how to read and write so that they could read and understand the Bible. This happened at a time when only 1 out of 10 people globally could read!

Christian pioneers were motivated to start public education for all children and also the first universities that became our modern university system.

Breakthroughs in science, medicine, human rights, innovation, and technology followed, altering our world as brave new ideas shaped society for centuries to come.
